People are always chasing the good life. We each have our own definition of what a good life is. Here are 14 Things For a Good Life~
- It’s not what other people say about you that determines who you are – it’s what you whisper to yourself every day that has the greatest power, both negative and positive. Own who you are.
- Always remember; you ARE good enough and you ARE enough. You don’t need someone else to validate or define you. You don’t need permission to be who you are.
- When you aren’t feeling up to speed, that’s when you need a self-care day. Be good to yourself.
- You are precious and unique. You are a work in progress. Imperfect, flawed, beautifully created. It’s all good.
- You can’t base your life on what you think others’ opinions and expectations are, real or in your head. (See 21 Things to Never Forget).
- Spend more time with those who support you even if they don’t understand. Critical people are insecure and don’t want to see you happy.
- Abraham Lincoln said: You are about as happy as you make up your mind to be. That doesn’t mean your life will be a walk in the park but there is always plenty of reasons to be grateful. (See 3 Things For a Successful Life).
- To accept the things you cannot change is the beginning of letting go. It’s a journey. Take the first step. Let go.
- You can’t move forward while holding on to the past. Let it go.
- Stay in the moment. One day at a time. It’s a peaceful way to live.
- Make room for the things that you enjoy. Someone once said; “If it isn’t a hell yes, then it’s a no”. It makes it easier to say no to the things that aren’t important to you.
- It’s never a good idea to compare yourself to others. You can’t compare their outside to your inside.
- It takes courage to face reality. Don’t do it alone. Find a trusted friend or two to journey with you.
- You don’t always have to be doing. Simply be sometimes.
