A True Friend

The first half of Proverbs 17:17 states: A friend loves at all times…
That is the verse that keeps coming to my mind when I think of my friend and one-time neighbor. We weren’t close friends in that we saw each other often, or did lots of things together. But I consider her a true friend.

She was there for me when we moved out of our house, offering her support, help and even storage space! Even though she has her own life-events to deal with, some on an hour-by-hour basis, she takes time out to do things for others, even if it’s just to share a kind word or some delectable Dove Dark Chocolate with Almonds.

Yesterday I had lunch with my friend. She touched me more than she will know. The gesture she made involved my daughter, and therefore touched me deeply. We both teared-up as she shared her heart on matters concerning the ordeal of our move, and on matters she and her family are dealing with.

Friends are gifts, priceless treasures that we are given for our brief stay on this planet. She is indeed a rare gem because she takes the time for others and I am proud to be counted among one of her friends.

Although it was a bit difficult finding you! There is no link in your profile for your blog and you didn’t leave a link in the comment. I googled Life Just Saying and found you! 🙂 (I hope its you!)

Friends are something else, aren’t they? I don’t know where I would be without mine — 2 of those dear friends encouraged me to start a blog to show case my hobby of handstamped pendants. If not for their encouragement and support I would not have had the courage to share with others. I’m a new follower via vBoks and also GFC.
