I am participating in the 5 minute Friday prompt at Lisa-Jo Baker. She provides a word to write about and we participants write for five minutes, and then we stop and see what happened. The word for today is: Beautiful.
We are on vacation this week. My husband and I drove 17oo miles to attend The National Stuttering Association’s yearly conference, along with our daughter, and at her request. The sights we saw along the way were stunning. The places we visited and made a point to see were lovely too. But I have to tell you, sitting and listening to over 700 people speak from their hearts about the struggles they have overcome, the times of frustration when they were misunderstood, or not given the time to complete their thoughts, the pain they felt from being bullied (no matter what age) or left out due to the speech issues they have to deal with everyday, minute by minute, sometimes better, sometimes worse, was just as moving as the gorgeous sunset we watched from the hills of Scottsdale, at the place built by Frank Lloyd Wright. The words spoken from the heart, no matter the stutter …beautiful
{Melinda} Love how the same God that made those beautiful landscapes sees all of us as beautiful — even when we can’t see it in ourselves. 😉
Visiting from Sharefest!
Thanks for visiting and Amen.
