My good friend and new blogger at Grammy’s Life so Far! is a fount of resources when it comes to home education. I wanted to share part of her first post in a series here:

A word to my non- home educating readers. I will be writing a series of three posts on home education because many parents are making decisions at this time. Actually, parents whose children are in public or private schools can implement some of Charlotte Mason’s ideas at home. I will return to a variety of articles next week.

Charlotte Mason’s ideas embodied what we wanted for our girls in their home education experience. I want to share her ideas with you briefly. I have several pins about Charlotte Mason on an Education board so you can read about her on Pinterest at Grammy’s Life So Far.

Charlotte Mason was born in 1842 and died in 1923. She lived in Ambleside in the Lake District of England. I have visited there and it would be a perfect place to teach simply because of the beauty!

I’m so happy you liked Grammy’s blog. She truly is an amazing teacher/retired homeschool mom.

I went over to Grammy’s blog and liked what I read. I did incorporate someof C. Mason’s principles and practices when we homeschooled and still do because solid learning and exploring principles are good for all students. Thanks for sharing this. I do get remotivated by these types of posts even though my teen girls aren’t still home schooled, they are still learning.
