About the blog cookie exchange I mentioned in the last post Gone Missing…Again. Here’s the deal.

The Sits Girls are hosting a cookie exchange. I signed up late, a few hours after the deadline, to be exact, but they let me in anyway.

I had such big plans. I love cookies. I bake them all the time. I have special cookies I bake for the holidays. I had just the ones in mind. The catch…I had to have them in the mail before Thanksgiving. It was Saturday when I joined in on the cookie exchange fun and I figured I would bake them Sunday night and get them in the mail on Monday. Wrong!

We stayed too long at our friends’ house on Sunday (as I also mentioned in my last post). Change of plans!

I made Pretzel Bark (which is something I do make at Christmas), however, it isn’t a cookie. I cheated, okay?! But I got it in the mail on Monday, as planned! With a promise to the person who lives approximately 1,000 mile from me, that I would send her some real cookies when I baked them for the holidays.

Here is the quick and easy recipe:

Pretzel Bark

Recipe from Kraft Recipes

1 cup chopped pretzels
1/3 cup chopped (toasted) Planters Pecans
1 1/2 pkg. (8 squares each) Baker’s Semi Sweet Chocolate, melted

Stir pretzels and nuts into chocolate; spread onto waxed paper-covered baking sheet.
Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces.

May substitute Planters Peanuts, and milk chocolate instead of semi sweet.
