I am still reading simple little words one bite at a time. I read something in there that totally justifies my attitude. I must share!
The chapter is called Time written by Ken Wales–Hollywood producer. He wrote…”At the time I received the
(Glenn Ford) award, Glenn Ford was considered one of the greatest actors in Hollywood, and he was certainly among the most famous.”
He continued, “Glenn was a consummate professional. He taught me the most important ingredients for success in business–always be well prepared, work hard, and arrive on the set early. But his words that stayed with me throughout my career were, ‘If you’re early, you’re on time. If you’re on time, you’re late. If you’re late, you’re fired.’
Aha! I knew I always like that Glenn Ford guy. What a genius! Actually, I don’t really remember much about Glenn Ford as an actor. I do remember the name, and that my parents both liked him as an actor, but not so much the movies he was in.
But I totally agree with his time philosophy. My husband can attest to that! One of the many ways we differ. The hubs is a last minute kind of guy. While I, on the other hand, am on time (as in early) to a fault.
Gotta love that Glenn Ford…just saying!
