Day 13 of 40 Days of Lent
Jesus went about telling stories of lives changed. We all have a story to tell.
Life is a curious thing. The down-and-out parts, the messy parts, the stuff we’d rather not tell anyone; those are the things that make a difference, in more lives than one.
Jesus healed the sick. The lame walked, sight returned to those who were blind. The demon-possessed man was set free. If those things hadn’t have occurred, we wouldn’t know about them today. We needed a savior, we still do; the Messiah. To borrow a line from my brother’s song, “If we could do it on our own, Jesus never would have left His throne.”
Social media adds a whole new dimension to our lives. I’m not saying that’s a good thing. It’s just that things aren’t always as they appear, especially on Facebook. Lives get messy. We screw up.
Sometimes we need help.
Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free.
