I wish that we were sitting face to face, enjoying a nice tall glass of half sweet iced tea. I would love to get to know you better but since that isn’t possible at the moment, I will tell you a little about me. I have been married since 1980, you do the math! (Hint, I’m in my 50s). I live in Louisville, Kentucky which is not too far from Cincinnati and Indianapolis. We have three kids; a daughter who was born in 1990, a son who was born in 1992 and another son who was born in 1996. The 90s are a blur.
I am in a band. We have a lot of fun!
These are my people.
I homeschooled all three kids from day one. My youngest will graduate in 2014. My life has been changing for a while now, and will continue to do so, I am sure. I can’t wait to become a grandma…when the time is right!
I started blogging about five years ago. I was a closet blogger for a couple of years. I was a bit intimidated with the thought of someone actually reading what I wrote, though I wanted that in the worst way. I soon found out that blogging is indeed different than baseball…”Build it and they will come” just doesn’t work that way in the blogosphere. I have been learning, building, growing and loving it ever since!
I started out blogging as Life Just Saying and recently changed my name the same time I moved to Word Press. There is a story behind the name of my blog and can be found here: Hi Honey, I’m Home. I also know there is a whole world outside my blue door just waiting to be explored.
I have a passion for travel. I have been to thirty-eight states and am looking forward to visiting the other twelve. I’m far from finished exploring in the United States. There are still so many sites I’ve yet to see in the states I have visited and would love to be able to revisit some that I have already seen.
These are a few of my (recent) favorite places.
What I ADORE about blogging are the connections and the endless possibility of doing so!
My goal, my dream, my desire is to connect fabulous brands, company and businesses, with awesome, wonderful, ordinary people just like me.
My blog, this small space in the virtual world is about YOU!
Some things I am proud of:
I recently published my first E book. This has been a goal for many years. I have been published before in several newspapers, a book of poetry, and a religious publication.
I have currently been invited and accepted to be a Community Lead with the SITS Girls. This is a truly amazing opportunity to not only grow my blog but to broaden the scope of people I can connect with. This is a network of 50,000 bloggers who come together to share, learn, grow, and connect. I am honored to be a part of this esteemed group!
I am a certified Life Coach and a trained women’s mentor.
