It’s Mother’s Day, and I’m a mother and for that I am grateful.

mothering, sons, boys, children, life, being a mother, kids growing up

It wasn’t always easy or fun.

The pregnancies, labor and delivery.
The sleepless nights.
The diapers, oh, the diapers…
The toys, laundry, messes and more toys, laundry and messes.
The trips to the pediatrician’s office for well-checks and not-so-well checks.
The pets, the friends, the vacations.

homeschooling, graduation, homeschool, kids, trips, educational trips, cottage school, homeschool drama, education, educating your child. football, Bernheim Forest, Blue River, canoeing

The birthdays and Christmas Days.

The homeschooling and field trips.

The sports practices and games, the dance recitals and school plays and countless music lessons.

Clorox

summer break

Memorial Day
The driving kids and their friends to all the places.
The teaching to drive and letting them go alone.

The dating and the inevitable heartbreaks.

The going to college. The graduating and moving out.

The tattoos.

,mothering, motherhood, when kids grow up, gratitude, relationships, life coach, authentic you, true intimacy

All the firsts and all the lasts.
All the sleepless nights for all the reasons.
I would do it all again in a minute.

A Letter to My Kids

Happy Mother’s Day! I know, I’m the mother, but I wouldn’t be a mother unless there was you. You are the most precious and cherished gifts I have ever been given, so in some respects, it seems like I should be celebrating you. You each have been given talents and gifts and you’ve nurtured them well. I couldn’t be more proud of who you are, how you live, love and give. I love you more than you will ever know, that is unless or until you become parents yourselves.
I pray for you always and I will love you forever.
