Day 18 of 40 Days of Lent

Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed.

How’s your hope?

Here’s the thing about Jesus–Everyone was equal in His eyes.

There are more than a few incidents mentioned in the Bible, where Jesus healed women or helped them in some way. This in a time when women were looked upon as second-class humans. But not Jesus.

Luke 8:1-2: Soon afterward He went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities…

Mary Magdalene was a woman who had a powerful encounter with Jesus. And the Samaritan women Jesus met at the well. He gave her such hope, in spite of her less-than perfect past.

We are encouraged in the devotion today to get behind this hope-based movement called Jesus so others can experience His life-changing work and receive this Hope.

Are you in need of some Hope?
